Message from Ms Dorianne Mercieca

Dear Parents, Students and Friends of St Francis School,

It is with great joy that I welcome you to our school community; a place where learning, belonging and growth go hand in hand.

I still remember my first day visiting St Francis School and feeling instantly at home thanks to the warmth of the community. Having had the privilege of working here for twenty years, I continue to be inspired daily by the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students and the support of our families.

At St Francis School, we believe that education is about far more than academic achievement. It’s about nurturing the whole person; mind, heart and spirit, in an environment where every child feels seen, supported and inspired. Our vision is rooted in the idea of a joyful, inclusive space where students not only strive for excellence but also grow in compassion, faith and resilience.

We are proud to offer an educational experience that promotes curiosity, creativity and critical thinking through innovative teaching and hands-on learning. Just as importantly, we encourage our students to become active participants in the world around them, engaging in acts of service and learning the value of empathy, honesty and collaboration.

This journey is made even more meaningful through the strong partnerships we build with families and the wider community. Together, we aim to guide our students to become confident, kind-hearted individuals who are ready to “Aim High” and make a positive impact in society. Our students leave St Francis not only with knowledge but also with lifelong friendships and a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
